Executive Director

Location: Clearwater, FL
Type: Full-time salaried

Under the general direction of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director serves as chief executive officer. The Executive Director is responsible for organizational planning and management toward the fulfillment of the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan.  Core areas of responsibilities include Management of staff, Fundraising and Development, Programming, Operations and Administration, and Board Activities.

Management, fundraising, programming, and public relations responsibilities

·  Create, implement, and grow programs for equine therapy, venue events, special needs activities, farming programs, and other potential programs that help meet the needs of our community

• Develop, oversee, and implement an annual fundraising plan 
• Coordinate fundraising activities and events with Board Involvement
• Build relationships with new and existing donors
• Conduct presentations to businesses, civic, private and/or professional organizations
• Coordinate marketing activities in support of fundraising plan to include social media, website, and marketing campaigns 
• Write and manage grant request pipeline
• Management oversight of human resource functions including staff and volunteer recruitment, hiring, training, supervision, support, and performance evaluations
• Oversee day-to-day organization and facility operations by managing the staff, to ensure appropriate delegation and coordination of efforts between employees, contractors, and volunteers 
• Manage and ensure appropriate delegation and follow-up with staff regarding office and facility operations 
• Prepare and monitor budgets in conjunction with the Finance Committee and treasurer
• Develop community partnerships

Riding Program Support Activities (in coordination with the Board and Senior Riding Instructor)

• Ensure maintenance and growth of high-quality programs, as well as safety standards.
• Through directly managing the senior riding instructor, overseeing the development of daily rider/horse lists; the maintenance of rider attendance records and horse usage charts; and communicating with parents, students, and volunteers on all pertinent matters, as needed. 

Board of Directors support and planning activities

• Work with the Board in formulating strategies, planning, organizational objectives, fundraising objectives, and policies
• Ensure that Board directives and policies are implemented in a timely manner

Please note this is a full-time position, and non-local candidates will be expected to relocate.

The salary offer is commensurate with experience and may be within a range from $74,000 - $110,000. Relocation support and/or benefits assistance may be available.
